INDEPENDENCE & MARIAN MONTH CONCLUSION
SOTCHO (SOLA TRIBAL CHILDREN’S HOSTEL) traditionally embarks on a month-long preparatory journey to commemorate both the Assumption of Mary and the independence of India. This Hostel holds a rich legacy of revering Mother Mary as the quintessential embodiment of virtuous living. In this pursuit of instilling moral and spiritual values in its young residents, a plethora of avenues are diligently provided.
Under the theme “To Grow as Exemplary Children of Our Nation and of Mother Mary,” this year’s month-long preparation marked a significant endeavor. The Marian Month commenced on the 18th of July and concluded on the 14th of August. The boys residing in the hostel were thoughtfully organized into four teams, fostering a sense of camaraderie and participation.
The eventful timeline encompassed an array of engaging competitions, including drawing, poem-writing, singing, and quizzes. As a fitting culmination, a spirited Marian & Freedom Morning transpired on the 14th of August. On this occasion, the boys wholeheartedly immersed themselves in a medley of festivities and quizzes, exuding vibrant enthusiasm and energy.
The duration of this celebratory month bestowed the students with insights into both their nation and the revered figure of Mother Mary. Beyond knowledge, it also served as a crucible for their personal growth, enabling them to blossom as virtuous and responsible children of their nation and devoted followers of Mother Mary.
