Heroes For Humanity

SPS INDIA Foundation, The Retreat – Don Bosco, Yercaud in collaboration with Desai Foundation have been conducting various awareness campaigns and welfare assistance to help Yercaud residents to recover from the impact of the second wave of COVID19. In continuation of the service Heroes For Humanity Project (HFH) is launched for the tribal community of Yercaud. This project aims to cover the Health and Hygiene Awareness of COVID19, Vaccination Camp, Menstrual Hygiene Awareness, Baseline Survey, Hotline tele-support and Distribution of antigen rapid test kits and Medial kit distribution. The survey will be tabulated to reach out with meaningful intervention for the people of ShevaroyHills.

The program also economically empowers families in this turbulent time. This aligns perfectly with the philosophy of bringing both urgent solutions in a time of crisis, while building long term sustainable programming to support communities. In this project the volunteers are categorized as Community Facilitator Head (CFH), Community Facilitator (CF), Hotline Tele support (TS) and Data Management Support (DMS) staff. There are 4 Zones viz., Yercaud, Maramangalam, Nagalur and Manjakuttai and the volunteers are grouped into 21 teams. This is a 6 months project and remuneration will be given to the volunteers who will be working in this project.
